Tools and Techniques of Collaborative Law and Mediation

by | Aug 16, 2013 | Collaborative Law, News

Karen was a panelist at the April 10, 2013 presentation on “Collaborative Law and Mediation Tools and Techniques: Common Ground”, co-sponsored by the Massachusetts Council on Family Mediation (MCFM) and the Massachusetts Collaborative Law Council (MCLC).

Joined by Attorneys Daniel Finn and Kate Fanger, and psychologist  Lynn Cooper,  and moderated by Attorney Lisa Smith, Karen and the rest of the panelists explored common ground between mediation and collaborative law, and what shared tools and techniques are used by mediators as well as collaborative law practitioners in their work in divorce and family law. Karen spoke regarding the standards of communication and conduct, and the role of the law, in both processes.

This was a very well attended program, with over 70 people registering!
